About Us
The Smile for Tomorrow Foundation Inc. a 501(c)(3) charitable non profit organization, was founded upon a mission to address the growing epidemic of suicide impacting our communities. Our mission is to raise hope, awareness and funds to support the efforts of suicide prevention. We do everything we can to spread awareness daily. S4T focuses on raising funds through regularly scheduled FUNdraising events and activities. These events allow for friends and families to get together for a day/evening to have fun and connect with one another but also learn about ways they can help support suicide prevention and spread awareness.

Who We Are |
Smile for Tomorrow Foundation Inc. started in May 2013. My business plan is a bit different than most. This business was not started to make money but rather to raise money to help raise awareness. Suicide is not a topic that we should be scared to talk about. We need to break the stigma that is being put in front of us. The media is trying to keep the topic hidden in the shadows so that suicide isn't "on the brain." Smile for Tomorrow is here to bring it to your attention. For those dealing with thoughts of suicide, it's ALWAYS on the brain. There's no turning it off.
Suicide is the 10th leading cause for death in the United States. It's out there. We lose, on average, 117 individuals to suicide every day. We need a change. WE ARE THE CHANGE. We have the voices to spread awareness and let people know there is help out there. Don't be scared to ask for help or reach out to someone in need. I want everyone to know, whether I know you or not, I am always here to listen. If you don't want to talk to me please find someone to talk to. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24 hours a day (1-800-273-TALK). |
Our History
|
I participated in my first Out of the Darkness Walk on September 29, 2013 in honor of Christopher. I now participate in a minimum of two walks each year. I look forward to getting more involved in events with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. I have hosted 5 very successful fundraiser events in the last two years, raising just over $1,800 between the five. In the time since Smile for Tomorrow has started, together, we have raised well over $8,000 to date. Keep an eye open for more fundraising events in the upcoming months.
